Organic seeds with care

At De Bolster, we are dedicated to a world with 100% organic seeds. We believe that organic farming is the key to a sustainable, future-proof agricultural system.

In addition to our organic certification, De Bolster is also Demeter-certified. This certification aligns perfectly with the values we hold dear, such as focusing on fertile soils, careful crop rotation, and responsible land management. The social aspect of biodynamic agriculture also fits our philosophy: working with respect for the environment and in fair partnership with others. As such, we collaborate as much as possible with local organic enterprises.

Furthermore, we find common ground in themes central to the biodynamic movement, such as the fight against pesticides, genetic engineering, and patents on seeds.

Peer review

As a Demeter-certified company, we participate in peer reviews. This involves visiting other Demeter farms and, in turn, hosting colleagues at our own site. This exchange is invaluable: it helps us stay sharp, share insights, and inspire each other in our pursuit of careful, sustainable farming practices. During a recent visit, De Bolster was described as a meticulously organized company where work is done with great attention – “like a beehive where everyone works together on something valuable.”
